Can EMC disturbances occur during the use of Sunny Boy and Sunny Mini Centrals?

In principle it is true for all Sunny Boys and Sunny Mini Centrals from SMA that they fulfill all the regulations and specifications applying to them and are well below permissible thresholds. SMA also certifies this in the declaration of conformity which accompanies every inverter.

These are DIN EN 61000-6-3 (2002) for emitted interference, DIN EN 55014-1 (2003) for grid-bound (DC), DIN EN 55022 (2001) class B for grid-bound (AC) and radiated, and DIN EN 61000-6-1 (2001)for immunity to interference.

Aside from the legal and normative requirements, independent analyses have shown that the requirements of structural biologists are fulfilled even as close to a solar system as one meter away. The electromagnetic radiation of an inverter is no stronger than that of a commercially available household device (e.g. hair-drier or fridge).
