SMA Australia launches Sunny WebBox with Bluetooth® for smarter solar plant monitoring and secure yields

Solar energy power plant monitoring just got smarter, easier and more reliable for solar power professionals with the Australian release of SMA's Sunny WebBox with Bluetooth®.

SMA's Sunny WebBox with Bluetooth® is the latest generation in solar PV plant monitoring, data storage and remote diagnosis for small to medium plants of up to 100 kilowatts.

Connected to SMA's user-friendly Sunny Portal web interface, data from the Sunny WebBox is synthesised and interpreted via intelligent Bluetooth communication and transformed into clear graphs. This makes plant performance data easily accessible onsite and offsite through remote workstations and mobile devices.

What's more, the Sunny WebBox with Bluetooth® can reduce the need for onsite maintenance of solar systems. Remote diagnosis is made easy with regular reports via the Sunny Portal notifying solar professionals of any plant events.

SMA Australia's Managing Director Zygmunt Nejman said, “Solar professionals can be sure their solar PV plant yield data is quickly secured with the Sunny WebBox with Bluetooth®.

“SMA has designed the Sunny WebBox with Bluetooth® to create a data-logger even more powerful, intuitive and user-friendly than it’s proven Sunny WebBox technology. This means all stakeholders, whether they are solar professionals, clients or school students, can easily monitor a solar system's performance.”

He added that the Sunny WebBox with Bluetooth® is perfect for schools through SMA's „Solar is Future for Schools Solution'.

“Not only does the Sunny WebBox with Bluetooth® provide reliable data to meet reporting requirements, it also allows students, teachers and the school community to easily understand the data displayed through Sunny Portal, encouraging an active focus on renewable energy,” said Mr Nejman.

The Sunny WebBox with Bluetooth® integrates seamlessly into solar PV systems, wirelessly linking up to 50 SMA devices within 100 metres, including the Sunny SensorBox with Bluetooth®. By using the SMA Bluetooth® Repeater, devices outside 100 metres can also be connected.

Installation of the Sunny WebBox with Bluetooth® requires no cables or network expertise. Guided by the Sunny WebBox Assistant and following six easy steps, installation is completed within minutes.

With the Sunny WebBox with Bluetooth®, SMA's Product Manager, Sunny WebBox, Frank Blessing said, “Monitoring medium-sized solar power plants has never been easier or more reliable.”
