Almost all roofs are suitable for a PV system if they are not completely in the shade. Ideally, your roof should face east, west or south. Slight or temporary shading due to dormers or trees is no problem. The solar calculator will reveal your solar potential. The installer will then develop a firm system plan with precise values following a consultation.

No, planning in the solar calculator is free of charge for you. This will provide you with a tentative calculation and enable you to easily and quickly assess whether a PV system would make sense for you. There is also no charge for requesting a quote. However, our partners do, of course, incur costs as a result of planning and making contact. Therefore, please submit your inquiry only if you definitely intend to implement a system.

The solar calculator works out the individual potential of your PV system based on your energy needs. You will be shown how much you could save in electricity costs with a PV system if you consume the solar power yourself. In terms of €/kwh, self-produced solar power is now far cheaper. In addition, you will find out whether you could profit from an additional battery-storage system and, if so, how. The solar calculator also indicates the degree to which you can become independent from your electric utility company with a PV system and the CO₂ savings you can achieve. However, as a manufacturer of system components we do not sell directly to you as an end user. That is why the installer carries out the individual cost planning, during which they factor in additional components such as PV modules and optional accessories as well as the installation outlay on-site.

If you complete the inquiry successfully, you will receive an email from us with a summary of your result. We will then pass the result on to qualified SMA partners near you. They will contact you usually within a few business days for the purposes of further consultation and to provide a quote.

It makes sense for the installer to examine the conditions on-site with regard to the roof and meter cabinet, for example, and record any specific requirements you may have. They can then make the plans for your system all the more detailed.

The solar calculator requests data regarding your energy requirements and the conditions on-site in order to calculate your solar potential. When you submit an inquiry, we pass this data, including your personal data, on to our partners. Data is collected exclusively for the purpose of processing your inquiry and is not passed on to third parties. You can take this back at any time or request to view the data. You can call up your result online for a period of three months. After that, the data is deleted from our system.
