SMA is a finalist for the 14th German Sustainability Award

SMA Solar Technology AG (SMA) has been named a finalist for the 14th German Sustainability Award. The expert jury selected SMA as one of the top companies in the transformation field of climate. SMA convinces with forward-looking innovations and solutions for a fast decarbonization towards climate neutrality. The renowned German Sustainability Award will be presented in Düsseldorf on December 3, 2021.

"As a company that contributes to mitigating climate change with innovative technology, we were able to convince the expert jury and, as a finalist of the German Sustainability Award, we are already one of the best in the transformation field of climate with our contribution," says SMA Chief Executive Officer Jürgen Reinert. "The nomination is a great appreciation and incentive for all SMA employees to continue driving the energy transition in the future with technological innovations and solutions and our comprehensive sustainability strategy."

The winners of the 14th German Sustainability Award will be announced in Düsseldorf on December 3, 2021. The award is the largest and most prestigious of its kind in Europe. For 14 years, the Stiftung Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitspreis e.V. (German Sustainability Award Foundation), in cooperation with the German government, business associations, civil society organizations and research institutions, among others, has honored companies where sustainability is part of the business model. Awards are given to business players who make effective contributions to transformation with innovative products and services, high ecological standards in production or special social commitment in their value chain.
