The SMA 40ft Medium Voltage Power Station combines two powerful inverters, two transformers and integrated medium-voltage switchgear in one compact, transportable skidtainer.

Purpose-built for next-generation PV and battery storage power plants, the system features a redundant architecture that maximises plant availability, reduces operational risk and lowers lifetime operating costs.

Powered by SMA’s proven Sunny Central UP or Sunny Central Storage UP inverters and perfectly matched medium-voltage components, the turnkey solution is optimised for utility-scale projects operating at 1500 VDC.

By integrating all key power conversion and medium-voltage components into a single 40ft station, the MVPS simplifies installation, reduces on-site works and accelerates project execution.

Available in power classes from MVPS-5860 to MVPS-9200.

Advanced Efficiency: When configured with Sunny Central Storage UP-S battery inverters*, high-efficiency SiC MOSFET technology reduces energy losses and supports higher lifetime yield and lower operational expenditure (OPEX).
Increased Reliability: Dual transformers and four-feeder medium-voltage switchgear (vs. the standard three-feeder design) provide additional connection flexibility and redundancy, helping maintain operation even if one transformer is offline. The result is maximum availability, reduced downtime and more secure long-term revenue streams.
Top-Level Cybersecurity: End-to-end cybersecurity protection helps minimise operational risks and costly downtime.
